A sleeping beauty.  Spines along the outer edge of the leaf blades --- referred to as "cilia" by some authors --- intermesh as the trap snaps shut upon stimulation to the trigger hairs. A tight seal of the trap indicates the digestive process is well underway as a back-lit trap reveals a shadow of a fly trapped inside..
